Conversion from oil or propane heating – official deadline
The government's Heat Green program aims to encourage the replacement of oil or propane heating systems with solutions using electricity or renewable energy, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Quebec.
The Quebec government has confirmed that the "heating oil/propane" component of the program will end on March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. After this date, no new applications for financial assistance will be accepted, even if the work has been completed.
To be eligible for the subsidy, owners must complete the conversion work and submit their application before the deadline. However, certain additional documents may be provided at a later date, subject to the conditions set out in the program.
